Components

The New England Classic Modern ® wood panel system consists of standard dimensional components, including 20 panels, three caps, four rails, and one stile. Each component is available in six wood species and a rich variety of water-based lacquer and conversion varnish finishes. The result is a powerfully diverse palette which can be used to tailor a wall system to any design project. Components are packaged individually, providing the maximum flexibilty in design and ordering.

Finishing and Maintenance

Whether you are using factory finished pieces or ready-to-finish product, the procedures are very much the same as they would be for solid wood.

Fill all nail holes and splices with matching stainable wood filler. Sand wood filler patches smooth to the veneer surface with 180-grit paper, taking care not to sand through the veneer. Apply stain, sealer and clear finish coat, lightly sanding between coats with 220-grit paper. We recommend applying a light coat of lemon oil to replenish the natural sheen, especially in dry environments. Use of wax polish may cause buildup and dull finish sheen.
