The new custom option allows consumers to specify a professional stain finish on three of the decorative wood panel systems from New England Classic: Classic Modern®, the Raised Panel System®, and the Stair PanelSet®. With a growing segment of consumers wanting decorative wood paneling in their home décor, our new factory treatment provides the premium high-quality results consumers are seeking at a competitive cost. Factory finished panels feature either maple, cherry or oak veneers and come in four stains per wood species, ranging from natural to deep woodsy tones. Custom stains can also be specified through retailers. Components are finished using an eight-step process, similar to that of fine furniture, which includes three sandings and a choice of either a water-based lacquer or conversion varnish. New England Classic recommends the conversion varnish for all cherry veneers in order to fully enhance the wood's deep graining and rich hues. Professional contractors as well as skilled do-it-yourself homeowners are discovering that New England Classic wood panel systems are not only much less expensive than custom alternatives but relatively easy to install due to flexibility of the components which include precisely sized panels and precision-machined stiles, base, shoe and cap mouldings. New England Classic's decorative wood panel systems are made from premium, sliced veneers bonded to an engineered wood core. Factory finished systems are scheduled for retail rollout in early January to over 600 building material dealers, kitchen & bath dealers and national home center stores throughout the United States.
