Design Guidance
for New England Classic ArchitecturalPanel Systems
The Forest and
the Trees Metaphor - When viewing a wood panel, stile and rail wall
system installation, the human eye perceives the installation in its entirety,
not the individual components.
- Unconsciously the
eye senses the wall panel systems' rhythm, balance and proportional
relationships
- Through history
the finest wood panel installations have been composed of a range of
proportionally related components - the New England Classic system design
embraces these
age old design axioms, or rules.
Imagination combined
with our modular "kit of parts" equals a distinctive "custom-configured"
design
- Select from a wide
array of panel components, and add a custom size for a special situation,
and remember the grain direction may run in either the horizontal or
vertical direction, as per your preference.
- 3", 4" and 8" wide
rails can be used together or separately to create up to a 16" tall
base, usually the wider rail is used in conjunction with larger panel
designs. Our base cap, crown and shoe accessories can be applied step-up
the level of ornamental expression
- Five cap designs
are available; caps may be located at any height, but are usually positioned
at chair rail level above the floor; 36" to 42" is typical.
- Our team of designers
are available to assist you at any time with our Free
Design Service.
